Michael Shaulov, CEO
Michael Shaulov is CEO and co-founder of Lacoon Mobile Security. He’s responsible for the direction of the company, with a maniacal focus on adding the security organizations need to effectively leverage mobility. He is a recognized industry speaker, delivering talks at BlackHat EU, BlackHat USA and Infosec. Prior to founding Lacoon, Michael co-founded BlueRidge Storage Systems and founded and led the Mobile Intrusive Interception team for the security division of NICE Systems LTD. Before his commercial endeavors, he pioneered the mobile security field in an elite military technological unit, where he received the Israeli Presidential Excellency Honor for his contributions. He holds a BSc in Computer Sciences and Physics from Ben-Gurion University, Israel.
Ohad Bobrov, CTO
Ohad Bobrov is CTO and co-founder of Lacoon Mobile Security. With more than 15 years of experience in the mobile and networking industries, Ohad passionately leads the research, engineering, technology and product development of the company. Prior to Lacoon, Ohad founded and led the mobile mass networking solution department at NICE Systems, receiving multiple Excellence awards for his work. Prior to NICE, he spent seven years in the Israeli Defense Force. Ohad holds a BSc, magna cum laude, from the Open University of Israel in Computer Sciences and an MBA from Tel-Aviv University.
Emanuel Avner, CFO
Emanuel Avner is CFO and co-founder of Lacoon Mobile Security, bringing more than 20 years financial and management experience to the company. Prior to Lacoon, Emanuel was the CFO of Partner Communications (Nasdaq — PTNR), leading a department of 120 employees. Before Partner, he was the CFO of Orange-Israel and CFO of Ericsson Israel. Emanuel is a certified public accountant (CPA) and a member of the American and Israeli Institute of CPAs. He holds a MBA (1st Class Honors) and a BA in Economics and Accounting from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Heather Howland, VP Marketing
Heather Howland is VP Marketing at Lacoon Mobile Security, bringing more than 20 years of enterprise technology marketing to her position. Previously, Howland led worldwide digital strategy for the IBM Security Division. Prior to IBM, she was Director of Marketing for Q1 Labs (acquired by IBM) where she led demand generation and go to market strategy. In addition, earlier in her career she held various strategic, product, and channel marketing positions with both early stage successful startups and enterprise organizations including BlackBerry, Ascendent Systems, Nuance Communications, Phonetic Systems, and Bay Networks.
Danny Oliveri, VP of Sales
Danny Oliveri is the VP of Sales for Lacoon, bringing more than 15 years of sales and sales management experience, specializing in driving early-stage companies through periods of hyper-growth. He joins Lacoon from ClearStory Data where he led the company’s sales efforts. Prior to ClearStory, Danny drove the global sales efforts for SilverTail Systems (acquired By RSA/EMC); his team delivered more than 10X annual sales growth year-over-year, establishing the company as the leading provider of predictive analytics for Internet fraud detection and prevention. Danny also held sales management positions at Oracle, Visionael, Collation, Inc (acquired by IBM), CenterRun (acquired by Sun Microsystems) and ETime Capital. He has a BS in Marketing Management from California State University, Hayward.
Ran Tamir, Director of Product Management
Ran Tamir is a security industry veteran, with over 15 years of experience driving innovative product strategies for market-leading solutions.
Prior to joining Lacoon, Ran led the RSA Security Authentication product team and was instrumental in establishing new cloud security solutions, as well as solutions for the mobile space. Ran joined RSA after holding product management positions with SafeNet and BMC Software. He holds a BSc in Computer Sciences and an MBA, cum laude, from Tel-Aviv University.
Pavel Berengoltz, Director of Research
Pavel Berengoltz leads Lacoon’s research team of mobile researchers, malware analysts and security specialists. He brings extensive research and development experience and a deep understanding of the mobile threat-scape to the role. Pavel was the CTO of Safend Ltd., where he drove the research and infrastructure development of their flagship products; when Safend was acquired by Wave Systems, he took on the role of Safend VP of research and development (R&D), continuing to drive the QA, R&D and product management of the Safend solutions. Prior to Safend, Pavel worked in an elite IDF intelligence unit, where he managed a group of developers working on state of the art software infrastructure, cutting edge communication protocols and protocol security. He started his career as a software engineer at Intel, where he was responsible for an award-winning development project. Pavel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
Shai Yanovski, Director of Security Analytics Product Management
Shai brings more than 12 years of experience in cyber security, data analytics and product management. Shai has a proven track record of turning cutting-edge research and technology into products that solve complex problems. Prior to Lacoon, Shai collaborated with a range of private sector companies and government organizations on a wide range of projects including nano-particles toxicology, military helicopter fault detection, terrorist activity detection in communications networks and cyber security, including an award winning project Shai led while he served as an officer in the elite technology unit of the Israeli Intelligence Corp. Shai received his BSc in Industrial Engineering and Management from Tel Aviv University where he was a founding member of the Applied Machine Learning Research Lab.

Shlomo Kramer — Board Director
President and CEO, Imperva
In 2006, Kramer was selected by Network World magazine as one of 20 luminaries who changed the network industry. Prior to founding Imperva, Kramer co-founded Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. in 1993. At Check Point, he served in various executive roles through 1998 and as a member of the board of directors through 2003. While at Check Point, Kramer played a key role in defining and creating several category-defining products and solutions, including FireWall-1, VPN-1, FloodGate-1, Check Point’s OPSEC alliance, and Check Point’s security appliance program.
He has participated as an early investor and board member in a number of security and enterprise software companies including Palo Alto Networks, Trusteer, Confidela, and Worklight. Kramer received a Masters degree in Computer Science from Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Tel Aviv University.
Mickey Boodaei — Board Director
CEO, Trusteer, an IBM company
Prior to founding Trusteer, Boodaei co-founded and held the position of Vice President of EMEA sales for Imperva, Inc., where he grew EMEA sales from zero to 40% of the company’s revenues in less than 18 months. Prior to that role, Boodaei was Imperva’s Vice President of Product Management and Technical Services. In this role, Boodaei was responsible for defining and creating several category defining products in the fields of application and database security.
Prior to Imperva, Boodaei was founder and Chief Executive Officer of Edvice — an application and database security consulting group. Edvice provided advanced security services to major financial institutions including penetration testing, security architecture design and implementation of security features for Web-based applications.
Shardul Shah – Board Director
Index Ventures
Shardul joined Index Ventures in 2008. His focus is on infrastructure, security and software. Shardul’s board involvement includes Datadog, Outbrain, Lacoon and Adallom. He has also supported investments in Moleskine, Squarespace, Dropbox, Centrify, Stackexchange, Erply, Zend, Ariad (ARIA), and Micromet (acquired by Biogen). He holds a BA in Economics and a BA in Biology, with a specialization in Immunology, from the University of Chicago.
Rakesh K. Loonkar — Investor
President, Trusteer (an IBM company)
Loonkar is a private investor focusing on early stage Internet security companies. He is responsible for Worldwide Sales and Business Development at Trusteer. He was the Vice President of North American Sales at NetScreen Technologies (acquired by Juniper Networks) where he was responsible for the team that included Enterprise and Channel Sales, as well as Systems Engineering. At NetScreen, Loonkar’s team was responsible for over $120m of revenue with a quarterly bookings growth rate of more than 15%.
Amichai Shulman — Investor
CTO, Imperva
Shulman is Co-Founder and CTO of Imperva, where he heads the Application Defense Center (ADC), Imperva’s internationally recognized research organization focused on security and compliance. Shulman regularly lectures at trade conferences and delivers monthly eSeminars. The press draws on Shulman’s expertise to comment on breaking news, including security breaches, mitigation techniques, and related technologies.
Under his direction, the ADC has been credited with the discovery of serious vulnerabilities in commercial Web application and database products, including Oracle, IBM, and Microsoft. Shulman has appeared on CNN, in the New York Times, USA Today, Washington Post, BBC and Sydney Morning Herald. Prior to Imperva, Shulman was founder and CTO of Edvice Security Services Ltd., a consulting group that provided application and database security services to major financial institutions, including Web and database penetration testing and security strategy, design and implementation.
Shulman served in the Israel Defense Forces, where he led a team that identified new computer attack and defense techniques. He has B.Sc and Masters Degrees in Computer Science from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology.
Ralph Pisani — Investor
SVP, World Wide Sales, Imperva
Pisani has more than 16 years of experience in sales, sales management, and channel and business development. Pisani joined Imperva, in 2008, as VP of Sales, East Region and quickly became VP of Sales for the Americas. Prior to Imperva, he was Vice President WW of OEM Sales at CipherTrust, Inc. He was also responsible for partnerships with AT&T, BlueCoat, Cisco, F5, Johnson & Johnson, and McAfee.
